Many of Pittsburgh's neighborhoods have great green features, including a number that I have not yet had the time to write about. I tried to pick the ones that are currently hotbeds of green development and activism. The Hill is developing energy efficient homes, matter of fact all URA funded homes are at least ENERGY STAR homes and I know they are moving towards even higher standard of sustainable building requirements - yeah! Hopefully the new development (homes and arena related) will link the Hill back up with Downtown and help people recognize the potential of the area.

Hello

Where are other Pgh neighborhoods? I am surprised the Hill District isn't on this list, it is currently undergoing major construction with energy efficient homes and new initiative focused on green economy.
